Carlton Keighley soar to success at the Next Gen Leaders Regional Final!

Carlton Keighley’s team of #ChangeMakers soared to success at the NextGenLeaders regional final! Presenting their ‘Stay United’ social action project, they clinched the Cultural Cohesion Award, with their team leader also earning the prestigious Changemaker of the Year Award!

Students had been working on their social action project since September 2023, as part of the NextGenLeaders after-school club. Their project focussed on their mission to tackle casual racism in their community by educating people in different cultural and ethnic background.

The NextGenLeaders programme creates meaningful social impact by empowering the next generation of future leaders. Since it’s launch in 2017, the NextGenLeaders #Changemakers have created projects which tackle issues across the full breadth of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, using evidence-based and research-backed programme which supports a student-led and project-based learning approach.

Head of School, Mark Turvey, praised students, saying “I am immensely proud of our students and #ChangeMakers. All their hard work and effort truly shines and these awards are thoroughly well deserved!”

Hey there, couldn’t help noticing you’re using Internet Explorer

That’s great and all, and we commend you for pushing through with it. Unfortunately we no longer offer support for IE; it hasn’t received a major update since 2015 and Microsoft are dropping support for it later in the year.

If you’re using Windows 10 and want to stick with a built in browser, please consider switching to Edge. Or, if you really want to enjoy the internet properly we strongly recommend downloading Google Chrome here.
