The Trust and Trust schools have had many significant awards, accolades, and achievements over recent years. Some of the most prominent include:

  • 2023: Trust Chief Executive Officer Adrian Kneeshaw shortlisted for ‘Trust Leader of the Year’ at the Times Education Supplement National Teaching Awards.
  • 2023: Thorpe Primary School shortlisted for ‘Early Years Provision of the Year’ at the Times Education Supplement National Teaching Awards.
  • 2023: Thorpe Primary School accredited as a ‘World Class School’ by the ‘World Class Schools Quality Mark’.
  • 2023: Carlton Mills accredited as a ‘World Class School’ by the ‘World Class Schools Quality Mark’.
  • 2023: Carlton Keighley accredited as a ‘World Class School’ by the ‘World Class Schools Quality Mark’.
  • 2023: Carlton Keighley highly commended as ‘School of the Year’ in the Telegraph & Argus Bradford Teaching Awards.
  • 2022: Esta Bernardini named as Gold (overall) winner as ‘Teaching Assistant of the Year’ at the BBC/Pearson National Teaching Awards.
  • 2022: CAT Schools receive three SILVER awards in the 2022 Pearson/BBC National Teaching Awards.
  • 2022: World Class Schools Quality Mark approaches CAT to become one of its first ‘World Class Trusts’.
  • 2021: Marshfield gains accreditation as a ‘World Class School’ by the World Class Schools Quality Mark.
  • 2021: Marshfield receives a ‘Times Education Parent Power Award’ in recognition of its’ outstanding outcomes for students.
  • 2021: Marshfield named as a ‘Connect Curriculum Flagship School’.
  • 2021: Carlton Bolling re-accredited as a World Class School by the World Class Schools Quality Mark.
  • 2021: CAT Secondary Executive Headteacher Jon Skurr named Headteacher of the Year in the Bradford Teaching Awards.
  • 2020: Marshfield school ‘Highly Commended’ in the ‘Primary School of the Year’ category at the BBC/Pearson National Teaching Awards.
  • 2020: Marshfield named as one of the top 100 primary schools in the country by the Times Education Supplement.
  • 2020: Carlton Academy Trust awarded a ‘Certificate of Excellence’ for its work supporting other schools in the BBC/Pearson National Teaching Awards.
  • 2020: Carlton Keighley (formerly University Academy Keighley) gains a ‘Good’ rating from OFSTED, less than 16 months after Carlton Bolling/CAT Trust begin supporting the school. The school had never been rated Good in its’ history as UAK or Greenhead, leading to its’ inclusion in a 2019 OFSTED ‘Stuck Schools’ report describing some of the most under-performing schools in the country.
  • 2019: Carlton Bolling named ‘Secondary School of the Year’ in the BBC/Pearson National Teaching Awards (Teaching Oscars).
  • 2019: Marshfield becomes one of the few schools nationally to attain the National Nurturing Schools Award.
  • 2019: Marshfield KS2 SATS results ranked 22nd in England (top 0.01%) out of nearly 21,000 schools.
  • 2018: Carlton Bolling achieves ‘World Class School Status’ from the World Class Schools Quality Mark.
  • 2018: Carlton Bolling supports Tracks PRU (now Medical Needs & Hospital Education Service) to an OFSTED Good rating, just a year after commencing support for the-then ‘Special Measures’ provision.
  • 2017: Carlton Bolling rated Outstanding by OFSTED, less than two years after coming out of ‘Special Measures’.
