Marshfield Primary School welcomes international visitors

What better day than World Book Day to give a warm welcome to international visitors who travelled all the way from Japan to explore the UK educational system and schools approach to promoting metacognition.

Satoshi Kusaka, a Lecturer at Naruto University in Japan, and Kana, a master’s student, were treated to a comprehensive tour of Marshfield Primary School, where they witnessed the enchanting learning environment, gained insights into the school curriculum and experienced the school’s vibrant celebration of World Book Day.

Satoshi and Kana were able to engage with both students and staff to gain insights into the nuances of education in both the UK and Japan.

Impressed by the high standards of work in student books, Satoshi and Kana recognised the all-round excellence delivered at Marshfield, along with the schools many accolades, and were looking forward to sharing their insights (and photos!) with  schools back home  in Japan.

Assistant headteacher, Mr. Perkins clearly left a lasting impression with his fluent Japanese, and the Trust  is looking forward to future visits from Satoshi and other Japanese educationalists next year!

Hey there, couldn’t help noticing you’re using Internet Explorer

That’s great and all, and we commend you for pushing through with it. Unfortunately we no longer offer support for IE; it hasn’t received a major update since 2015 and Microsoft are dropping support for it later in the year.

If you’re using Windows 10 and want to stick with a built in browser, please consider switching to Edge. Or, if you really want to enjoy the internet properly we strongly recommend downloading Google Chrome here.
