Carlton Academy Trust HR Team shortlisted for Yorkshire Excellence in HR Award

We are delighted that our Trust HR Team has been shortlisted for the HR Team of the Year – Public or Third Sector category in the Yorkshire Excellence in HR Awards 2025. This recognition celebrates teams whose work has had a transformative and positive impact on their organisation – and our HR colleagues have done just that.

Over the past year, the team has delivered a series of projects which has driven improvements across recruitment, retention, and professional development. Their work has streamlined processes, delivered cost savings, and enhanced the employee experience, all while maintaining a strong focus on collaboration, communication, and mutual respect.

Carlton Academy Trust CEO, Adrian Kneeshaw, said:
“Being shortlisted for this award is a fantastic acknowledgement of the HR team’s dedication, creativity, and commitment to our people. They play a crucial role in making the Trust a great place to work, and I’m incredibly proud of what they have achieved.”

This recognition follows last year’s shortlistings at the same awards, where the HR team were shortlisted for the Transformational Change Award and the Trust’s Finance team for the Purpose Beyond Profit Award. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 23 October 2025 at The Royal Armouries in Leeds.

Hey there, couldn’t help noticing you’re using Internet Explorer

That’s great and all, and we commend you for pushing through with it. Unfortunately we no longer offer support for IE; it hasn’t received a major update since 2015 and Microsoft are dropping support for it later in the year.

If you’re using Windows 10 and want to stick with a built in browser, please consider switching to Edge. Or, if you really want to enjoy the internet properly we strongly recommend downloading Google Chrome here.
