We’re delighted to share that we have been shortlisted for small Multi Academy Trust of the Year at this years MAT Excellence Awards, recognising the outstanding work taking place across our schools.
This shortlisting reflects another strong year of progress. Across the Trust, schools have achieved strong Good and Outstanding outcomes in recent inspections from Ofsted, demonstrating the high standards and commitment to continuous improvement that define our approach.
Literacy has remained a core priority, with Trust-wide initiatives gaining national attention and helping to strengthen reading and communication skills for pupils at every stage of learning. Alongside this, our holistic approach to staff and student wellbeing continues to shape positive, supportive environments where individuals can thrive.
Sustainability and innovation have also featured prominently in the past year. Solar panel installations are being rolled out across nearly all of our schools as part of our commitment to cleaner energy and environmental responsibility. We are also the first Trust in the UK to seek approval for a ground-mounted solar installation at one of our sites. Alongside this, innovative and energy-saving technologies are delivering real efficiencies and reducing carbon emissions across the Trust.
At the heart of these achievements are our staff, pupils and communities. Their dedication and collaboration make Carlton Academy Trust a place of opportunity and growth, and this shortlisting reflects the culture of ambition and excellence that continues to drive the Trust forward.
Adrian Kneeshaw, CEO of Carlton Academy Trust, said:
“Being shortlisted for Small Multi Academy Trust of the Year at the MAT Excellence Awards is fantastic recognition of the hard work and dedication shown across all of our schools. I am incredibly proud of the commitment our staff show every day to improving outcomes for our pupils and creating environments where both students and colleagues can flourish. This shortlisting reflects the strength of our collective efforts. It’s a real testament to the passion, collaboration and ambition that runs through Carlton Academy Trust.”
The awards ceremony will take place in June, and we look forward to sharing further updates soon!

That’s great and all, and we commend you for pushing through with it. Unfortunately we no longer offer support for IE; it hasn’t received a major update since 2015 and Microsoft are dropping support for it later in the year.
