Major step forward in sustainability with Trust-wide solar power project

This summer saw a major solar panel project take shape across the Trust’s estate, marking a significant step in our journey towards a more sustainable future.

Over the summer break, engineers were busy installing solar panels at the majority of our school sites. By the end of this week, all participating schools will be fully installed, tested, and generating clean, renewable energy.

Oulton Academy’s solar panels will be added as part of their upcoming new build, ensuring every site in the Trust benefits from this exciting initiative.

This project represents a fantastic example of collaboration, with our estates and facilities teams working closely alongside external contractors to make it happen. Together, they’ve helped future-proof our schools, reduce energy costs, and contribute to a greener future for our communities.

A huge well done to everyone involved – a real milestone in our sustainability journey!

Hey there, couldn’t help noticing you’re using Internet Explorer

That’s great and all, and we commend you for pushing through with it. Unfortunately we no longer offer support for IE; it hasn’t received a major update since 2015 and Microsoft are dropping support for it later in the year.

If you’re using Windows 10 and want to stick with a built in browser, please consider switching to Edge. Or, if you really want to enjoy the internet properly we strongly recommend downloading Google Chrome here.
